With the number of people with an NDIS plan in the Salisbury/Playford area set to grow from 10,000 to 14,000 in the next few years, Minda’s northern team is keen to step up and meet demand.

The office, conveniently located adjacent to the Elizabeth Shopping Centre, is a one-stop hub for all Minda services and Client Relationship Team Leader Carlie Marshall says the opportunity for growth is huge.

“Out here we have the Disability Choices team who complete the intake and onboarding process for new & existing clients, which includes the creation of all the service agreements to enable clients to access services from Minda,” Carlie says.

“We also have the MyPath North program which is based at the Elizabeth Football Club, as well as having exercise physiology, psychology and developmental education based from the office.

“Our North/North East SIL Support Leaders and Manager and some of the Finance (billing) team also work out here with us.”

And it’s the fact that the Elizabeth office has all those services on hand in one location that has proven such a success in the five years since it opened.

“It’s good because it means we can workshop ideas and solve problems quickly. I had a conversation with one of the support leaders just this morning as they had a query around one of their clients and we were able to talk about that and work through it together to identify a solution.

“It helps everyone to be aware of what’s happening regarding the clients and their services and any changes they might need.

“It opens the lines of communication between departments and encourages everyone to work together and understand the role we all play in providing exceptional service to our clients and their families out North.

With the northern population to continue to expand in the years to come, the team at Minda will be working hard to ensure the needs of clients and their families are met.

“We are keen to grow our services for northern families – the growth and opportunity out here is huge.”
