What is PACE?
PACE is a new computer system that will be used by the NDIA to make things easier for you, your family and your carers. It will be more user-friendly and efficient for your plan manager and support coordinator to use, allowing them to help you faster!
The most important thing about moving to the PACE computer system is that nothing will change in your current plan and funding. When you are due for your next planning meeting, PACE maybe introduced and we can help you through the process.
What you need to do
You won't move to PACE until your plan is ready for review, your planner will be able to assist you with additional queries. There are a few steps you will need to take.
Importantly, you will need to nominate Minda as a ‘my provider’.
If you access any of the three listed categories below, for example; you or your nominee will need to ask for a ‘Home and Living’ category level my provider relationship to be created for Minda, from the date your supports started. Category levels are;
- Home and Living (SIL);
- Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA); or
- Behaviour Support.
You, or your guardian, will need to talk to your NDIA planner or the NDIA National Call Centre on 1800 800 110 to endorse Minda using our Provider Number - 4050000135. Once this has taken effect it will stay in place for your future NDIS plans.
It’s important that Minda is endorsed from the start date of your plan renewal period (not the date of your call). This will ensure all NDIS claims can be submitted and processed in a timely manner.
Confirmation of Minda as your endorsed provider should be an instant process from one phone call. We encourage you to ask for a receipt number for your record of request.
Lastly, It's important that Minda are endorsed from the start date of your plan renewal period (not the date of your call). This will ensure all NDIS claims can be submitted and processed in a timely manner. We are here to help you through the process and answer any questions that you have, you can call our Client Support Unit on 1800 164 632 to talk about PACE.

What is Changing?
The main changes will be the words used to describe support types and categories and how the NDIA will communicate with you. Nothing will change in your actual plan, just the words used to describe certain things.
More information on this will be provided to families and carers soon.
