Minda clients Anthony and Kaylene will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day, a major milestone that is a testament to their indisputable love for one another.
While many people believe that love at first sight is reserved solely for films and romantic novels, the couple is proof that the phenomenon isn’t purely fictional.
It didn’t take long for the couple to know that they had a future together, with Anthony and Kaylene falling head over heels for each other the day that they met.
After getting to know each other, Kaylene knew that Anthony was “the one for me”.
The love for one another only continued to grow as they spent more time together, with the couple eventually giving themselves an early Christmas present in 2003, getting engaged on December 23.
With the acceptance of the marriage proposal, the couple were excited to organise their special day and officially become husband and wife.
Although every wedding day is special, Anthony and Kaylene’s had a slightly more romantic element to it, with the couple officially saying ‘I do’ on Valentine’s Day - February 14, 2004.
Anthony and Kaylene said their wedding was one of the greatest days of their lives, with even the blistering heat not able to ruin the occasion.
“It was one of the greatest days of my life. I got to marry Kaylene in front of friends and families. It was a great day,” Anthony said.
“The day was very hot. The weather was over 40 degrees, but that didn’t matter.”
The couple then swapped the warmth for cold during their honeymoon, travelling to New Zealand to create some great memories, including going on jetboats.
Since getting married, Anthony and Kaylene have enjoyed a lifetime of happiness together, spending their days by each other’s side and doing activities that they both love.
“We like doing everything together. We go on walks, travel to the shops, go to church and have meals together – our favourite meal is grilled fish,” Anthony said.
After two decades of marriage, the couple’s love for each other burns just as bright as the day they met. Kaylene described Anthony as her “soulmate”.
“We have always cared a lot about each other. We love one another very much and I knew from early on that he was the one for me,” Kaylene said.
Anthony expressed the same level of love and affection for Kaylene, stating that Kaylene was everything he could ever want in a wife.
“She is the best wife I could ever ask for. She makes me very happy, and I love her very much,” Anthony said.
The bond that Anthony and Kaylene share is stronger than any object imaginable, and with 20 years of marriage under their belt, the couple can’t wait to spend many more years together.
