Coronavirus (COVID-19) update for the Minda community

Mask
General News
8 Feb 2022

Following discussions with SA Health, Minda staff visiting or supporting clients at a location not impacted by Covid will no longer need to wear a gown.

Staff will continue to wear a Particulate Filter Respirator (PFR) mask, eye protection and gloves.

Our requirement to wear full PPE was over and above SA Health requirements as we looked to provide maximum protection for clients and staff as part of our Covid-19 Management Response.

Staff have said wearing a gown in locations not impacted by the virus can be restrictive and can be confronting for some clients.

Minda staff will continue to wear full PPE where a client or staff member at that location has tested positive for the virus or is isolating as a close contact of a positive case. Full PPE consists of a PFR Mask, eye protection, gown and gloves.

We continue to monitor the number of positive cases in the community and across Minda and may return to staff wearing full PPE should positive cases increase.
