Information current as at 25 December 2021
Yesterday we advised that our entire Brighton Campus was in lockdown, effective immediately, after several Minda staff tested positive for COVID-19.
The hard lockdown means no family members can come onto our Brighton campus to visit a loved one.
Please note the following:
1. If you are a family member who has already collected your loved one then it may not be possible for them to return to Minda. Any return of a client will be assessed on a case-by-case basis before you attend the Brighton campus.
2. If your loved one’s COVID-19 management plan flags an intention to collect them and arrange alternative accommodation for a period of time then you need to call the Minda COVID-19 Hotline before you attend our Brighton campus so we can make arrangements for a safe handover.
3. We are not able to facilitate anyone who wants to take their loved out for a short-term visit because leaving the site risks compromising the health and welfare of all clients and staff who support them.
Additional Minda staff have now returned a positive test result. The number of potential exposure locations on our Brighton campus now includes:
- Repton Road Houses
- Waterhouse – Crompton
- Bonython Way Houses
- 24/7 clinic at PKC
- PKC (Full facility)
We have updated SA Health and are working to do all we can to limit the spread of the virus.
All clients potentially exposed have been isolated, are being monitored for symptoms and temperature checked three times per day. We are arranging testing for those clients who are approved to do so, and deep cleaning of all locations is occurring.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
