It’s a busy place at times in the Pat Kaufmann Centre with plenty of activities and events to not only support residents but to also entertain them.
One such resident, Christine, is so involved in assisting with those activities that she was nominated for and won a client Values Award for COMMUNITY.
Nominated by PKC’s Acting Lifestyle Co-ordinator Fiona Smith, Christine was described as an integral part of day-to-day activities at the facility.
“Christine is like my personal assistant always reminding me of upcoming events,” Fiona says.
“I am not sure what I would do without her sometimes. She keeps me on my toes.”
Christine is also quite often heavily involved in helping not just setting up for activities, but packing everything away and the getting ready for the next event.
