Volunteer vacancies

We are currently looking for the following vacancies to be filled. If you have the relevant skillset and are available during the required timeframe, we'd love to hear from you.

Event volunteer roles

We are looking for fun loving volunteers to assist, on Thursday evenings monthly 5.30pm-8.30pm at Minda’s Social Club.

The purpose of Social Club is to provide a safe space where our people can come together with friends and socialise. The volunteer will bring to this role a passion and enthusiasm for making a difference to the lives of people with a disability. Supporting and encouraging the people who attend to join the various activities at Social Club and have fun.

As a volunteer at Social Club, you will help by performing the following duties:

Assist staff to set up and pack up the activities

Welcome and encourage the people who attend to join in activities

We are looking for two friendly fun loving people to assist at our monthly client event on Fridays 10am-11.30am, Coffee Club.

The purpose of Coffee Club is to provide a safe space where our people can come together with friends and socialise whilst listening and dancing to live music.

The volunteer will bring to this role a passion and enthusiasm for making a difference to the lives of people with a disability by supporting and encouraging the people who attend to join in and have fun.

The volunteer will help by performing the following duties:

Set up and pack up coffee, tea and mousse station

Serve tea, coffee and mousse

Welcome and encourage the people who attend to join in activities.

Creative craft volunteer roles

This role is for someone with basic pottery or art skills. If you enjoy using your hands and don't mind getting dirty to support our customers in pottery, we'd love to hear from you.

Required: Tuesdays 9.30am-1pm and Fridays 1pm-3pm

This role is for someone who has an interest or knowledge in craft (sewing, knitting etc) to support our customers in their craft choices.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-1pm

If you enjoy playing music and have a knowledge in teaching music, we'd love to hear from you.

Lifestyle volunteers roles

This role is for someone who has an interest in dancing or a background in dance.

Required: Mondays 9.30am-1pm and Wednesdays 9.30am-1pm

If you're someone who enjoys being active and healthy, can interact with sporting games, bike riding, enjoy going into the gym, walking and drives, then this is the perfect volunteer role for you!

Required: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm

This role is for someone who is happy to go to Bowland and support our clients with bowling and a lunch outing

Required - Monday-Friday 9am-3pm

This role is for someone who is happy to get in the water and support our clients to enjoy the water at SA Aquatic Centre.

Required: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm

If you're happy to get in the water and support our clients to enjoy the water as SA Aquatic Centre, we'd love to hear from you!

Required: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm

If you enjoy the great outdoors, sport and fitness, this is the perfect volunteer role for you.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-2.30pm, 10am-2pm, 11am-3pm

Life skills volunteer roles

Help in supporting customers to be part of the MyPath community and learn a life skill by collecting the laundry, washing, drying and putting the laundry away.

Required: Monday-Friday-9.30am-3.30pm

Help assist our clients in the kitchen, including teaching them life skills and cooking.

Required: Mondays 9.30am-1pm and Thursdays 9.30am-1pm

Help support our clients to improve communication by using compic, sign language and words in everyday activities.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-3.30pm

Help our client's acquire skills to volunteer.

Required: Monday 9.30am-2.30pm, Wednesday 10am-2pm, Thursday 11am-3pm

This role is for someone who has a background in building, likes working with their hands or has a trade.

Required: Tuesday 9.30am-2.30pm, Wednesday 10am-2pm, Friday 11am-3pm

Wellbeing volunteer roles

Help our clients learn about mind, body and spirt by supporting them in table top activities, pampering, yoga, walks, arts and craft.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-3.30pm

In this role you will be helping cleints learn about nutrition and light exercise.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-3.30pm

Environment volunteer roles

For this role, you must have a keen interest in the environment.

Required: Monday 9.30am-2.30pm, 10am-2pm, 11am-3pm

For this role, you must have an interest in animals. You'll be helping clients learn about animals, look after the Minda chooks and assist with making pet toys and food.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-2.30pm, 10am-2pm, 11am-3pm

This role requires someone with an interest in cooking, gardening, walking, recycling and community outings.

Required: Monday-Friday 9.30am-3pm

Support volunteer roles

Anthony and his family are looking for a volunteer to help Anthony connect with his new housemates. Anthony is a great guy who loves a chat.

Required: Monday, Wednesday or Thursday
