A genuine and thoughtful communicator, Sheena Wilson is described as a “huge asset” to the team at Electronic Recycling Australia at Ottoway, so much so she was nominated for a staff Values Award.
And it’s because she always treats staff and customers with RESPECT that she was presented with the award at our recent International Day of People with Disability celebrations.
“It was an unexpected surprise to not just be nominated but to win the award as well,” Sheena says.
“It’s an honour to be recognised for the work you do, it also shows you are heading in the right direction with your work. But it’s also great to represent SA Group Enterprises and Electronic Recycling Australia.”
Sheena moved into her current role of Training and Support Co-ordinator for supported employees at ERA in March this year and was applauded in the nomination for the respect she demonstrates for all the employees she supports, as well carers and parents, all with a professional yet personal approach.
“I look after approximately 45 supported employees, making sure they have the workplace support and training. It’s also important that I communicate well with parents, carers and advocates.
“I love my job as I get to help supported employees and every day is different, no day is the same, plus the team at ERA and SA Group Enterprises are a great group to work with.”
