Unplug N' Drop Success
Electronic Recycling Australia (ERA) is achieving much success with its Unplug N’ Drop electronic and electrical goods recycling program.
Since Unplug N’ Drop began in February 2017, the program has nearly doubled its volumes of e-waste recycling.
ERA Account Executive Paul Bulluss says when the program began, it was recycling 130 tonnes of e-waste per month.
“We’re now getting 240 to 260 tonnes of e-waste per month, and sometimes we’re reaching 280 tonnes per month,” Paul says.
ERA’s partner businesses and organisations play a key role in supporting Unplug N’ Drop’s positive values of environmental sustainability and social responsibility in employing people
with disability. “
Paul says Bunnings is a key Unplug N’ Drop partner: “Bunnings has been on board for 18 months now, and by the end of this year, we will have received 1,000 tonnes of e-waste from Bunnings alone."
