Dedicated to working with HEART
When you’re hailed as the “Big guy with an even bigger heart” it should come as no surprise when your colleagues and clients nominate you for an award.
And, so it was on Thursday last week as part of our International Day of People with Disability celebrations, that Disability Support Worker Mark Krueger found himself centre stage.
Mark was presented with the staff Values Award for HEART, recognising his unwavering dedication and care for clients in leading MyPATH’s ICT program in LSP1.
Those that nominated him paid tribute to his commitment to clients and working with “a big heart” in the two years since he joined Minda.
“I was looking for a career change – at Minda I have better work life balance and I just love my job; it’s a lot of fun,” he says.
“The highlight for me is interacting with our clients. I love showing people how to use a computer, and it’s rewarding seeing someone’s face come alive when they see something new they haven’t seen before.”
International Day of People with Disability is all about increasing public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and to celebrate their achievements and contributions.
