James' journey to help others
James Kennedy-Jones has published a book on his personal journey with autism, and hopes sharing his journey will help to support other young people on the spectrum.
A customer with Minda’s Disability Choices in Mount Gambier, James, 22, has shared in his book details of his life with autism – from a young boy who felt free and at peace, to a young adult "struggling with his inner demons".
The book, a graphic novel titled ‘The Dragon Knight Chronicles’, details how James has to overcome frustration, rage and fear and accept the good and bad in life. He works out he needs to be positive, while also understanding he needs to be aware of the negative things and manage them.
